After last year's record rain, the numbers were down a bit, which is understandably a bit stressful for the organisers, but from my own point of view was just fine - I don't love huge crowds, and not having to squabble for a decent campsite when I arrived was quite nice.
There was no media pass for me this year, so I took fewer photos, but that was good as it afforded me the opportunity to just cruise around and take things in at my own pace. I actually spent quite a lot of time not doing much and absorbing the moment.
Some standouts this year included Jambezi, the fantastic Marimba band, Backsliders, and the inimitable Jeff Lang. TaikOz were their usual solid selves too, and moving Martin Pearson's breakfast thing to 10am was a rousing success all round. :)
It was also great to see some local friends playing in Sans Grenadine, and jamming on new year's eve was lots of fun.
Dawn on new year's day was particularly pretty this year, and the fire event was quite cute (I especially liked the dandelion flower thing).
So, on with a new year hey...!
